Which not only serve human comfort but also gives natural vibes to its end user also respect our mother nature and its creation. In recent year Eco tourism has increased day by day, travelers are hunting for the staying which is more closed to nature. Eco friendly resorts design gives us the vibe to design the project with creativity which is sustainable, with respect the nature and natural landscaping.

But before designing of any resort, it is always important to go through with some key points to make it a beautiful Eco Resort:-

1. Choosing of Location

Foundation of Eco Friendly Resort design start with site selection. When developing a Eco resort care full analysis of climate, topography, vegetation, wild life, road accessibility is important . A location with minimal Ecological disturbance & rich Biodiversity is the best for a Eco resort. A location which is very close to nature gives vibrant natural feeling to the end user a relax and calm feeling. But some times, the dream location is not possible to find out but a beautiful creative design can also increases its beauty and make its more relaxing.

2. Design Philosophy

The approach while designing the Eco Resort focuses on low-impact construction methods that works with the nature, with its contours of land. Biophilic architecture, slope roof, harmonizing structure makes the resort more welcoming. Natural cross ventilation to openness in planning can minimize the energy consumption.

3. Natural lighting and open spaces

Natural light is the great source of minimizing energy consumption. Incorporation of cut into wall or roof can help in natural ventilation all the time inside of toilets. Some design element can minimize the uses of Air conditioning system all the time.Large double layered glass window can help to minimize the usage of the artificial light also it can help the room to damp free due to direct or passive sun light entered into the room.

4. Low impact Architecture Design

The design should be such that it will not impact the existing landscape or site. If it is in hill, it must be tried to use the slope in design. If it is in plain land, try to leave open space as much as possible to have the natural ventilation.
The concept of open type dining, seat out to minimize the need of artificial lighting & ventilation.

5. Eco friendly Material

Material are the heart of sustainable design. The use of Locally sourced materials , recycled materials reduce the cost of the project & also help to minimize the carbon foot print.
    • Bamboo and Reclaimed wood:- Bamboo and Reclaimed wood are the great items in sustainability. We can easily use them for flooring , furniture & some times as a structural member also. As we all know bamboo is structurally very strong when it is properly seasoned. As it grows very fast, so the supply is ample.

    • Stone :- Another beautiful material is stone. These material are durable, reusable and gives natural feeling in design ; at a time it is non-toxic and natural insulator also. We can easily incorporate stone in our design for flooring, table top to basin & even as a bath tub.

6. Rain water harvesting

Every year we drain out gallons of water in the time of monsoon. If we can properly harvest the rain water it can be used for farming, cleaning and washing in the resort area. It makes huge impact on water management.

7. Gray water management

The gray water can be treated in STP & can be reused in flushing, Gardening etc. Thus we can save a lot of water.

8. Renewable energy

Solar panel on the top of the roof or the solar lamp in the landscaping area can help to minimize electricity bill.

9. Waste management (Reducing, Recycling & Reusing)

Eco friendly resort must incorporate waste management practices from composting organic waste to recycling materials used throughout the property. Composting food waste can even be used as natural fertilizer for the resort landscaping.

10. Landscaping

A beautiful relaxing resort does not means a beautiful designed building but also its landscaping which increases its beauty more, gives a relax and calm feeling. Native plant are the backbone of sustainable lanscaping as they are easily available & harmonised with the local weather. Flower trees to green lawn and Some time organic vegetable garden or a fruits garden gives the feeling of garden to table. A water body not only releases the whole days travels stress but it also control micro climate inside of the resort. Nature tail to open area sitting with nature canopy can gives the guest a peace of mine and connection of nature.

11. Minimalistic Interior

Minimalistic interior design brings nature indoor, clutter-free space that encourage relaxation. Large window , natural material, earthy colour connect the indoor with the outdoor nature. Element like local furniture, Indoor plant , natural fiber, local art along with the lighting can create a mesmerizing environment which gives the guest a relax feeling.

Conclusion

Every design is unique in nature, changing of materials, design and location can change the whole ambience of the project. The design concept should be such that the overall aesthetic should evoke calm and elegance while embracing the raw beauty of nature. Soft earth tones, natural textures, and expansive views should define the resort’s look, creating an atmosphere of peace and luxury. The interior design should use organic shapes, ample green spaces, and Eco-friendly furnishings that make guests feel connected to nature from the moment they arrive. The design ideas always concentrate to offer a luxurious, immersive experience while remaining committed to sustainability and environmental friendly. It delivers comfort, Eco-consciousness, and a unique, immersive experience in harmony with the environment.
